BEELICIOUS is a story of 2 outsiders, to the world of Apiculture. We wanted to create a brand unlike any other; with a product that is, what it says it is!

We searched for bottled honey that was truly honey; but couldn't find any, so we created our own brand. Customers didn't have to be honey connoisseurs to taste the difference. Industry gospel says each jar should taste the same wherever, whenever you buy it.

But our honey is happily inconsistent

Just like wine vintages taste different, fruits each season taste and look different; so does honey taste and look different every season.

Beelicious Diary Section

While we were still researching on product and supply chain; we discovered that the honey available from traders and larger manufacturers was not what it should be. So, we decided to work directly with Bee-keepers. This gave us a better understanding of Apiculture as an industry, how honey is produced and what the pain points are.

We now have our very own beekeeper community, led by our very own co-founder and beekeeper, Nikhil. This gives us the opportunity to drive positive change, and form long-lasting relationships with people who value quality. Our ethical sourcing practise has borne fruit over the years; making it a default practise to buy everything in a respectful, holistic manner that safeguards the community and environment.

Our brands BEELICIOUS and BEEYOU are created based on a simple fact:
that nature creates with more intelligence, patience and purpose than we ever could.

The hive is one of nature's most intelligent ecosystems — and its offerings have the power to transform both nutrition and skincare. Yet for years, access to authentic, high-quality apiculture products and the knowledge surrounding them remained limited.

What began as a passionate journey to bring pure, unblended honey from ethical beekeepers to Indian homes soon grew into something much deeper — a celebration of the entire world of honey bees, their science, their healing powers, and their harmony with life itself.

At Beelicious, we don't just collect honey. We craft experiences inspired by Apiculture — the age-old science of bees. From single-origin honeys that retain the unique bloom of a flower, to wellness drops, spreads and immunity enhancers.

At BeeYou, India's first Apiculture centric personal and skin care brand — we translate the science and purity of the hive into personal and skincare that nourishes naturally and effectively. Every product is carefully formulated and crafted and is a tribute to the tiny creature whose work touches the planet in profound ways.

Together, the two brands reflect our belief that wellness should be honest, thoughtful, and rooted in nature's wisdom.

Introduce the concept of RAW honey in the organised Indian retail

Introduce the RAW Kashmiri Acacia and a range of spiced honey variants in the Indian modern trade.

Initiate and offer a bees adoption program “HIVE ALIVE” (since 2018).

Offer honey spreads.

Make the first honey-based immunity enhancers and in single dose packaging.

Introduce Apiculture experience zones in premium retail stores.

Make India’s first, clean label, honey, lemon & ginger lozenge; which is also safe for kids over 3 years of age.

Make pure bees wax and active botanicals lip balms and cold pressed soaps.

Meet the Founders

Kayan Motashaw

A rank holder in Biochemistry and a postgraduate in Entrepreneurship from the S.P. Jain Institute of Research and Management, she brings a uniquely rigorous, science-led approach to everything she builds. She further strengthened her leadership journey by completing the IIM Bangalore – Goldman Sachs Women in Business Program and was chosen as one of only ten women worldwide; for the prestigious Goldman Sachs Growth Fellowship Program in New York and Washington, D.C. in 2023. Her work has earned international acclaim. In 2018, she was one of only nine entrepreneurs from India to receive the HiEERA Award (High Impact Entrepreneur from Emerging Regions for Action) by the United Nations. Her expertise led her to serve as an advisor and facilitator for the UNCTAD Empretec India Program, and she was selected as one of ten global finalists for the UNCTAD “Women in Business” Award in Geneva. Kayan’s foundation is rooted in strong scientific and research training: she interned with IPCA Laboratories and worked for four years in her family business before establishing LivRite in 2015. Her professional mastery spans food safety, quality systems, product craftsmanship and Apiculture! Kayan’s leadership is not just about building a brand; it is about elevating an entire industry through science, innovation, integrity, and excellence.

Nikhil Mohindra

A commerce graduate and entrepreneur at heart, Nikhil brings operational excellence, financial acumen, and ground-level impact to Beelicious. With experience spanning paints, garments, and energy retail, he joined LivRite in 2018 to build a robust beekeeper network and ensure supply chain integrity. His financial expertise adds depth to strategic and operational decisions.
